There is free outdoor parking available around the backside of the Heritage Centre.
How to Get There
If traveling by bus, use the Steelton/Second Line bus route and depart the bus at either the John Street stop or the Queen Street West stop. The Heritage Centre is just a few minutes walk south of the John Street bus stop and a few minutes north and west of the Queen Street West stop.
Visitor Rules
All museum visitors are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Please remember the following rules and guidelines when visiting:
- No food or drink is allowed in the exhibit hall
- Pets are not allowed (service animals excluded)
- No flash photography
- Large backpacks, bags, and strollers may be better left at home
- No running in the museum
- Please remember to keep your voice down
- Please be mindful of other visitors
Accessibility
The Heritage Centre’s Museum is fully accessible. There is an accessible ramp and door around the side, and there are two fully accessible washrooms. If you have any concerns about accessing the building and its exhibits, please call ahead and staff will assist you.
Service animals are allowed on the premise, as long as they are working.
There are currently no designated handicap parking spots.
